While it is a thrill to be hosting the 2010 Winter Games, it also means a considerable disruption to local residents, many of whom need to take holidays, work from home, or face the complications of travel in and out of Vancouver during this period.
For those of you who have had enough of Vegas, don't want to kennel the dog and go to Hawaii, or are too old to stand in line at Disneyland, we have a deal for you. How does this sound: Following a huge and delicious farm-style breakfast that you didn't have to cook, you spend the rest of the morning and early afternoon in the great outdoors (perhaps with the dog you didn't have to kennel), then enjoy a beverage while watching the Games on TV with a view of Matheson Lake Park through the window next to you. You have a nap, go out for a great dinner, watch some highlights, and turn in on one of the most comfortable beds you've ever slept in underneath a sky full of stars thru the skylight over your bed.
